What's new for 2025?
In its second model year, the CX-90 adds a Premium Sport trim, replacing the Premium. The Premium Sport comes with black exterior accents on the grille, the side mirrors, the lower bumpers, and the roof rails. The Premium Sport rolls with 21-inch wheels that include a dark finish. The second-row bench seat is more widely available and the 12.3-inch infotainment display now comes standard on all but the base model. For Naperville and Glenview, IL buyers on a tighter budget, look for a Mazda CX-90 in our used inventory.
Expanded trim levels
The CX-90 Select trim comes standard with eight-passenger seating, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, wired Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, an eight-speaker audio system, tri-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, heated side mirrors, aluminum roof rails, 19-inch wheels and a power liftgate.
The Preferred includes leather upholstery, a four-way power-adjustable passenger seat, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, wireless device charging, a moonroof and front and rear parking sensors.
The Premium Sport trim adds memory settings for the driver's seat, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, satellite radio, a panoramic moonroof, a head-up display, a hands-free power liftgate, 21-inch wheels and larger brakes.
The Premium gives Barrington and Streamwood, IL drivers tilt-in-reverse side mirrors, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, under-floor cargo storage, adaptive headlights and driver personalization settings for climate control and seating preferences.
The Premium Plus trim gives you Nappa leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, second-row captain's chairs, heated second-row seats, a surround-view camera system, and a household-style power outlet. Meanwhile, the CX-90 Hybrid comes in three trims: Preferred, Premium Sport and Premium Plus.
Powertrains and performance
The CX-90 is the first Mazda model to be equipped with a turbocharged 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine that's part of a 48-volt hybrid system. That powertrain can generate 280 horsepower in non-S trims and 340 horsepower in S models. We also offer an available plug-in hybrid variation with the same 323-horsepower configuration as the Mazda CX-60 SUV that's marketed in Europe.
Interior highlights
The cabin in the Mazda CX-90 provides room for as many as eight passengers. If you select the optional second-row captain's chairs, total seating capacity comes in at seven. Higher-end models have an attractive fabric dashboard and the seats in upper trims come with soft Nappa leather. Standard features include a tri-zone automatic climate control system and proximity keyless entry.
